ROLETTE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
Fire Emergency Burn Ban
WHEREAS, ROLETTE COUNTY, North Dakota in anticipation and preparation for the 2018 Grass/Brush Wildland Fall Fire Season;
WHEREAS, the impact of fires could threaten the health, well-being, and safety of citizens in Rolette County;
WHEREAS, the cost of response and the inordinate equipment wear may be far in excess of available County Resources;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Chairman of Rolette County Board of Commissioners, in compliance with N.D.C.C. 37-17.1-10., declares a Fire Emergency Burn Ban (to include but not limited to a ban on garbage/pit burning, campfires, and burning of farm or crop land) remain in effect when the North Dakota Rangeland Fire Danger Rating is in High, Very High, Extreme and/or a Red Flag Warning has been issued for Rolette County, North Dakota from April 5th, 2018 thru November 1st, 2018. THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THIS BURN BAN IS A CLASS B MISDEMEANOR (NDCC 37-17.1-10.1: MAXIUM SENTENCE OF 30 DAYS IN JAIL AND A $1,500.00 FINE).
